Henry Austin Bruce, 1st Baron Aberdare (1815–1895) Cardiff/Wales
Welsh politician and statesman.
WHO ALSO served as chairman of the National African Company, later renamed the Royal Niger Company. Through this chartered company, British commercial interests expanded control over territories along the Niger River, laying important foundations for the establishment of British colonial rule in what later became Nigeria.
